Delhi, meet and assist by our representative at International
Airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Afternoon,
combined tour of Old & New Delhi – visiting Jamma
Mosque (biggest mosque in India) built in 1650
AD, drive past Red Fort, India
Gate the 42-metres high memorial arch is a tribute
to the 90,000 India soldiers killed during World War I,
drive pass by Parliament House, President
Palace, also view from outside Qutub Minar
(Tower of Victory) 72.5-metres high memorial built by Qutub’d
Din in 1199 A.D. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel. Overnight
stay at hotel Sun Star Grand or similar 3* hotel. |

breakfast, transfer to domestic airport
for a spectacular mountain flight to Srinagar – the
summer capital of Kashmir at the height of 5,200 ft above
sea level, which is located on the foot of Himalayan Mountains,
where tourists enjoy living in Houseboats that are anchored
on the famous Dal Lake.
A Kashmiri warm welcome greets you on arrival from airport
to jetty by cars. Thereafter, transfer to Bostan
Deluxe Houseboats by Gondola (shikara), which you
may have seen in Venice (Italy). After lunch, cruise on
Dal Lake visiting the Floating Garden,
Lotus Gardens, back waters of the lake;
and the cruise will go through the canals. Dinner and stay
at Bostan Deluxe Houseboat. |

breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Gulmarg
(Meadow of Flowers) at a height of 8,800 ft above sea level.
Here, you will witness the beauty of natural surroundings
of Kashmir set out like a Doll’s village. En route,
stop at a few villages to witness the country life of Kashmiris.
Gulmarg used to be a favourite hunt of the British in summers
and you will find old fashioned hotels and shops in the
village. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat
(26,600 ft) if weather permits. Gulmarg has the highest
18-hole golf course in the world and has developed into
a famous ski resort.
After lunch, take a gondola ride (optional)
high above the meadows and snow covered slopes of Apherwat
and Khilanmarg Mountains, which provide a play ground for
optional skiing, tobogganing and pony ride.
Return to houseboat for overnight stay. |

After
breakfast, visit the famous Mughal Gardens of Nishat
(Garden of Pleasure) built
by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD; overlooking
the crystal clear emerald green waters of the Dal Lake.
Then, proceed to Shalimar (Garden
of Love) built by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his
wife Empress Noor Jehan. From spring till autumn, these
gardens are full of flowers. You will also pay a visit to
famous Kashmir hand-knotted silk carpet weaving
factory for good bargains.
Afternoon, visit to the handicrafts centre for paper
machine and walnut wood work by
Shikara. Look for pure Pashmina shawls while you are in
Kashmir. Overnight stay and dinner at Houseboat. |

Depart
early morning after breakfast for a wonderful day trip to
Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) at a distance
of 85km, situated at a height of 8,900ft above sea level.
The distance will take about 3 hours drive up to Sonamarg,
which goes along the Sindh River. It is also known as the
Sindh Valley Tour. The drive is very spectacular with beautiful
sceneries along the way. En route stop at Kangan Village
– an interesting small town where you find various
mountain people from surrounding valleys doing trading.
Once you reach Sonamarg, you will feel like you are in the
Swiss Alps.
Later, take a short trek to the Thajwas Glaciers on foot
or pony as optional tour. Thereafter, return to Srinagar
after a wonderful excursion and enjoy a sunset cruise on
Dal Lake in Shikaras. In the evening, a farewell dinner
and over night stay at your houseboat. |

morning visit to the floating market, then
return to houseboat for breakfast and enjoy some time on
the deck of your houseboat to see the world goes by. Thereafter,
transfer to Srinagar airport for flight to back to Delhi.
Lunch on board. Upon arrival in Delhi, free for shopping
in Connaught Circus and Janpath area. Evening, enjoy North
Indian Tandoori farewell dinner at Chor Bazaar Restaurant
and thereafter, transfer back to hotel for overnight stay
at Ashok Resort, City park, Park Land, Silver Ferns similar
local 4* Hotel. |
